Carmela Daniel is a universal artist that has fused soulful jazz, pop, R&B funk and an
eclectic urban vibe together to create a sound that is definitely a sound of her own. This
multi-talented artist has a long history of musical creativity and talent running through her
veins. Carmela’s father (Isaac Daniel) is a successful music instructor at Duke Ellington
School of the Arts who has accompanied great artist such as the Late Sarah Vaughan,
Natalie Cole and the Temptations. Carmela's mother(Emma Daniel) works in the
healthcare industry and she also has a great talent for music. In fact, it was Emma
Daniel who began the dream for Carmela. Her mother is an incredible singer who chose
to be a mother over the pursuance of her own career in music. The sacrifice of her
mother and the dedication of her father has given Carmela an insight and a strong desire
to achieve every goal she has set before herself.

Carmela’s professional music journey started when she auditioned to enter Howard
University‘s Fine Arts program. Her dedication to her craft compelled her to study
countless hours every day and dedicating herself to fine tuning her gift to perfection. Her
hard work and undeniable talent earned her quick recognition among her peers and
professors as a star to watch.

While attending Howard University, Carmela took a position as a backup singer for a
local group Ndelible. It was through performing with this group, she was identified as a
force to be reckoned with and given other opportunities. Carmela has mentored young
gifted artists as an instructor at Duke Ellington School of Arts in Washington, DC. While
at the school of arts, she began to accept the gift of “Paying It Forward” and will carry
this principal through her life. Carmela believes that “Giving the Gift of Music is the most
precious gift imaginable.

Upon graduating from Howard University, Carmela made the decision that it was time to
close one chapter of her life and began anew. She decided to move to Atlanta, GA to
begin her professional career as a recording artist alongside friend and producer Sam
Buck. Signed to an independent label 288 entertainment, she thought this would be the
perfect opportunity to get her feet wet in the business of music. Carmela began aligning
herself with a few of the industry’s best and most successful experts such as the brilliant
songwriter Beth Nielson Chapman who has written for artist such as Faith Hill & Bonnie
Raitt. She has worked with renowned producer Craig A. King who has penned music for
Grammy Award winning artist such as, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West and Ludacris. In 2012,
Carmela recorded The World is Yours with multi-platinum rapper B.O.B. The song was a
coming of age tale about a young woman's belief in herself and an undeniable drive to
create the life she so adamantly desires. In that same year, she went on the Black
college tour. She shared the stage with Melanie Fiona, Marcus Canty, and a whole host
of other rnb and hip hop stars.

Carmela’s passion is deeply rooted in music. Her legacy, she hopes, someday will live
on through the desire to show love to others and have that same love in return. It is that
passion alone that has ignited the vision for Sound Bar Live With Mela.
